PTI MNA Dr Arif Alvi participated with primary students of Qurtaba Government Boys and Girls Elementary School in a street art activity on May 6th 2016 in Shireen Jinnah Colony, Karachi.
The activity was organised to reinforce the importance and urgency of improving learning levels in government schools through the use of storytelling-themed art in public spaces, and to engage school children in a healthy activity to attract them to book reading.DrArifAlvi also talked to teachers and school management about the issues the school faces and promised to work for providing better quality education and missing facilities such as computer labs, clean water facilities at the school. He also interacted with children in a discussion related to their studies and their interest in art.
He announced to adopt 10 more schools in Karachi to serve the education sector. He also shared his personal story about how his teachers helped him to get where he is today.
