PTI MNA Sajid Nawaz held a storytelling and street art session at a government school in Peshawar on May 21st 2016.PTI MNA Sajid Nawaz visited Girls Government Primary School Ghari Ameer Khan where he had an intimate, lively storytelling session with students of Class 5. He read several Urdu stories from a magazine for children called ‘Urantashtaree.’
The students enjoyed the session as the MNA acted out parts of the story. This was followed by a street art session in which both the parliamentarian and students painted a wall of the school with pictures of children reading famous Urdu storybooks.
He also took a round of the school, talking to teachers and school management about the quality of education provided at the school and promised to take their complaints forward to the education department.
He was of the view that politicians must spend quality time with children doing activities like these to increase their knowledge, and worry about their growth and well-being at school just like they would about their own.
