The Bill has 39 Articles and is making headlines in December 2018 –

Article 3 addresses Children’s Rights to Protection against Child Domestic Labor

3. Prohibition on employment.–No child under the age of 15 years shall be allowed to work in household in any capacity.

However, Age Variations continue to remain problematic for Pakistani children:

Article 25 A or Right to Education is for children aged 5-16 years

Child Marriage Restraint Act Sindh 2017 has pushed the age of marriage for girls and boys up to 18 years

The Age of Majority/Adulthood is 18 years

So why is the Punjab Domestic Workers Bill 2018 going short under article 3 or Prohibition on Employment under 15 years of age?
