On behalf of the largest learning festivals for children and teachers – the Chlidren’s Literature Festival and the Teachers’ Literature Festival we  take this opportunity to wish us all  a Great – World Book and Copyright Day 2018 -READING IS MY RIGHT!

Nothing is more pleasurable then to see our children reading with understanding and expression through multiple intelligences which we experience each time at the large and small festivals that take place across Pakistan.

The Tarana/Anthem of CLF written with passion by Zehra Nigah, world renowned poet is indeed illustrative of the ambitions and imagination of this social movement – “Hamian Kitab Chahiyeh -Jo Zindagi Badal Dey Woh Nisab Chahiyeh ” we need books and curriculum that will transform our lives  (click the link below to hear the CLF anthem)

CLF’s directors Baela Raza Jamil, Rumana Husain, Ameena Saiyid, Zobaida Jalal Kurd, Mahtab A. Rashdi, Fauzia Minallah and  Peter Jacob are delighted to be a part of Pakistan’s biggest learning festival wishing everyone the very best today – making this movement multiply by leaps and bounds in 2018 and beyond!

All Departments of Education & Literacy who lend spaces, give generous resources for holding many more CLFs and TLFs including workshops on how to do CLFs. A tool kit is ready for replicating CLFs at multiple levels. Thank you Govt of Sindh- School Education & Literacy Dept. The Walled City Lahore Authority (WCLA) has joined hands to promote reading and learning with expression through celebration of heritage – for the first time in its history the CLF was held at the historic Lahore Fort in January 2018-an incredible milestone! The Southern Command sponsored the CLF Turbat -another pioneer step in March 2018!
