Baela Raza Jamil, the 2024 Asia Education Medalist by T4 Education, founder and CEO of Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi, is also the founder of the Children’s and Teachers’ Literature Festivals, now known as the Pakistan Learning Festival (reaching 100 TLFs by 2025). A passionate advocate for children’s learning, she promotes ITA’s learning solutions for girls and the most vulnerable, children’s publications, and lively libraries.
A leading public policy advocate, Baela is a champion for the right to education (Article 25A), Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), Girls’ education, skills, and livelihoods, and working passionately in emergencies and mitigation. Through the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) Pakistan, she drives the assessment to action foundational learning movement Chalo Parho Barho (CPB) or Teaching at the Right Level across the country. Counted by many as a force with formidable institutional memory on education systems in Pakistan, she is committed to education as a public good and service for All!
Baela is an advisor and board member of multiple organizations representing Pakistan on national and global platforms like the Yidan Prize Foundation; the International Bureau of Education (IBE) UNESCO; the People’s Action for Learning Network (PAL) Network, Champion Learning Generation Initiative (LGI), Punjab Social Protection Authority and the Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust (SPNET), a laboratory of quality education for the poorest communities with IB PYP state of the art solutions. She is currently a member of the Chief Minister’s Advisory Committee on Education and a co-opted member of the Prime Minister’s National Task Force on National Education Emergency.

Pakistan Learning Festival is a social movement founded by the renowned educator-thought leader and activist, Baela Raza Jamil CEO of Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) and co-founded by the internationally and nationally awarded Ameena Saiyid, who headed a multinational corporation and pioneered ‘literature festivals’ in Pakistan; she is the Founder Director of the Adab Festival Pakistan. CLF’s growth is attributed to its open collaboration with numerous private, public, civil society organizations, foundations and development partners. CLF is the first national level largest learning festival with an outreach across Pakistan; it is ITA’s well known flagship program.
