Baela Raza Jamil, CEO of Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) centre for education and consciousness and the founder of the Children’s and Teachers’ Literature Festivals in Pakistan as a social movement called the Pakistan Learning Festival. She is an avid promoter of publications for children- a growing portfolio under ITA. A public policy advocate, for right to education 25A, ECCE, girls’ education and empowerment and public private partnerships, Baela leads the Learning initiative of ASER Pakistan, and foundational learning program Chalo Parho Barho(CPB)/ Teaching at the Right Level (TARL). She represents Pakistan as an advisor and board member for Education & Learning innovations at national and global levels.

Pakistan Learning Festival is a social movement founded by the renowned educator-thought leader and activist, Baela Raza Jamil CEO of Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) and co-founded by the internationally and nationally awarded Ameena Saiyid, who headed a multinational corporation and pioneered ‘literature festivals’ in Pakistan; she is the Founder Director of the Adab Festival Pakistan. CLF’s growth is attributed to its open collaboration with numerous private, public, civil society organizations, foundations and development partners. CLF is the first national level largest learning festival with an outreach across Pakistan; it is ITA’s well known flagship program.
Rumana Husain is a writer, artist, and educator. She co-founded the Bookgroup in 1988 to produce high-quality Urdu books for children. As Director of the Bookgroup from 1997-2001, she led numerous initiatives, including teacher training across Pakistan. She later joined the Children’s Museum for Peace and Human Rights as Head of Activism & Outreach. She has worked with Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi, as a Consultant and Team Lead for training potential writers and illustrators. With over 80 children’s books to her name, she has collaborated with publishers like Oxford University Press and has her own JAAl Publications. She writes in Urdu and English, and is also the author of two major coffee-table books about Karachi’s people. Her work has earned awards in Pakistan, India, and Nepal.

Mr. Murad Ali Mohmand, the Managing Director of the National Book Foundation under Pakistan’s Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. With an impressive 24-year career, Mr. Mohmand holds master’s degrees in Political Science, International Relations, History, and Business Administration. Recently recognized with the Best Academia Award in Sindh, he brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his current role.
Previously, Mr. Mohmand served as the Project Director for Sports in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government, where he oversaw the development of various recreational facilities—a contribution highly commended by provincial authorities. Today, he tirelessly promotes a culture of reading and book appreciation across Pakistan, establishing himself as a driving force behind numerous book fairs nationwide. Notably, he organized an impressive 346 book fairs last year alone, setting a remarkable standard for literary engagement.

Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani is a distinguished civil servant with over 22 years of experience in top management roles within the public sector. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from UET, Lahore, an LLM from Warwick, UK, and a Master’s in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague.
Mr. Wani began his career in the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) after passing the Civil Superior Services Examination. His notable roles include Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan (April 2022 to October 2023), Special Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (December 2023 to April 2024), and Additional Secretary, where he also served as Director General of the National Rehmatul Aalmeen Authority, CEO of the National Endowment Scholarships for Talent (NEST), and Chairman of the NFC Engineering Institute Faisalabad.
From July 2018 to June 2020, he was the Chief Operations Officer and Adviser to the CEO at the National Disaster Risk Management Fund. His earlier roles include Director General of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) in Punjab, Joint Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, Secretary for Information, Culture, and Archaeology in Punjab, and Managing Director of the Punjab Education Foundation.
Mr. Wani’s career reflects exceptional leadership and a commitment to public service. He currently serves as the Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, a role he has held since April 2024.

Dr. Shoaiba Mansoor serves as the Deputy Education Advisor at the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, where she also holds the additional role of Deputy Secretary for International Coordination. With 16 years of experience in the education sector, she oversees academic programs across public schools in the Islamabad Capital Territory and coordinates with leading development partners in Education Sector.
A passionate advocate for educational reform, Dr. Mansoor holds a PhD in Education, focusing on curriculum development and 21st-century skills. She translates government vision into actionable
strategies, ensuring the effective implementation of policies and initiatives. Her leadership extends to supervising teacher training programs aimed at fostering continuous professional development.
In her role, Dr. Mansoor actively contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG-4), providing updates on UNESCO’s GEM report, addressing Out of School Children (OOSC), and promoting greening education initiatives. She also coordinates educational conferences, seminars, and various events that support the advancement of education in Pakistan.
An accomplished representative of Pakistan, she has participated in numerous international conferences and workshops. Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Mansoor enjoys traveling, gardening, and watching movies.
